Subject: [CR] pogliaghi decals other foil types

All this recent talk about the Pog in Berlin and I think I read a couple comments how the foil decals are not things to be impressed with.

My question is: why is that. from what i can tell very respectable bike makers used foil decals during the 60s and on up into as late as the mid-70s (I think). Yeah, i have seem some cheesy ones, but even Campy and Columbus had foil decals to put on bikes....and no those were not fakes. I always thought foil decals were kind of funky, but still cool.

My second question is: when did the foil craze end and did that extend to British, French and other countries besides that country where everybody has an abundance of vowels in their name? (no offense intended)
