I see from Chuck's Campagnolo timeline the Record headset with <C> on the lower cup was introduced in 1965, for how long this was the norm I couldn't say......I have one that came from a 60s Holdsworth [Nervex pro lugs, full wrapover stays] I guess shops where using 'old stock' for quite a while after production had ended.

There is also the <C> on the crown race, but this seems to be on headsets that don't have the same logo on the lower cup, up to a certain point when this too was dropped.

I also have a Record [steel] headset that has the same drilled sections as on a alloy Super Record....I'm assuming this must be the very last version of what is probably the best headset ever made.
