Subject: [CR] yet another colnago date question/different one maybe

Hey everyone,

I have a bike that I just purchased as a 1971, looks to be that . the one thing im not finding on any of the dating lists is the hole in the lug under the seat cluster. i really have found no mention of this in the archives or on any of the compiled frame detail lists.

I don't recall having this on my 73' . On the Cr Colnago page Greg Softley's 69' does have this hole. There is no shot of the lug from that angle of Bob Freemans 71' Colnago.

Was this something only used in 69-70, or was it there in 71 on up?

Sorry if this repetitive but if anyone knows I'd appreciate your help. Maybe those who have compiled the detail lists could add this to the lug section.

The bottom headtube lug is also the thinnest lug I have ever seen at the downtube!

thank you very much
