Hi Kirke. I have what I'm told is an early 80's Rossin pista and it has no serial numbers anywhere on the frame.  It does have an "R" cutout on the BB shell though.  It also has an "R" stamped on the lower HT lug and R's on the fork crown.  The seat stays are also stamped with a beautiful "Rossin" script.  The frame is kind of a mystery actually.  I've also seen other Rossin frames of the same vintage with no serial numbers as well.  Is the frame you're considering numbered?

I am considering picking up a nice early 1980s Rossin frameset and would like to find out as much about it before I bite the bullet and do it.

Does anyone have any idea how Rossin numbered their frames?

Also, I think their two top-of-the-line frames in the early 1980s were the Super Record and Record. Does anyone know if they were the same frameset, just different compnents?

Feel free to contact me off list if you think you can help! Thanks!
