Galmozzi's hold a special charm to me beyond the obvious craftmanship and the "cock of the walk" headbadge. I think it's the fact that the earliest Galmozzi's I saw were under the butts of some of the Chicago racers who dominated midwest criterium racing in the early to mid 70's.
That brought to mind this question, was Chicago the base for a Galmozzi importer? Any input on who was bringing these understated masterpieces into the U.S?
