Gentlemen and a few ladies: The most important fact is that the person is able to RIDE HIS BIKE! All the rest is high school commentary and unworthy of this list and it's alleged sophistication. If you don't like the aesthetics, please do so in a gentle way like 'not my cup of tea but hey if it works for him that's what counts, and I'm happy to see him out there. Make it a positive comment, ask about it, be curious, learn. The more people out there who have a restriction precluding their use of a 'traditional' geometry if there is such a thing, and worked their way around it, the better for us. This brings out creativity and inspiration, and deserves compliments. Some stuff works and some doesn't, but we still have to try. I've known/know many frame builders that won't build a bike if the customer wants something built that won't work and sends him off to look elsewhere. The builder knows that if he makes it and it fails it's the builder's fault, and VERY few people will say it's what they wanted and is a failure because of their own plan and not the builder. So, liten up, maybe that's the first one and the next one may be somewhat more refined. Gotta start somewhere, the rider wants on the road and doesn't want to wait forever while the builder keep tinkering on so called good looks. To whom? Remember there's a cover for every pot. Instead, congratulate the parties concerned and leave the twittering to the valley girls. It's really unbecoming and doesn't belong on the list.
