Hi John, et al,

Using a postal scale, I weighed some of the herd; forks with crown race only and frames with fixed cup only. All frame sizes ranged from 59 to 62 cm C-T. Here's results (lbs-oz) arranged lightest to heaviest:

FORKS: Fuso (Moulton?) CrMo 1-2.5, Ral USA Team 531 1-3.75, Ral Pro Mk.V and A-D Vent Noir 1-5.0, '78 Masi GC ColSL 1-5.5, '72 Ral Int'l 1-7.0, Lambert Death Al 1-7.75, '62 Peugeot PL10 1-12.0

FRAMES: Teledyne Titan 2-8.0, Jap Ral Superbe 531SL 2-9.75, AD Vent Noir and Ral USA 2-10.0, Masi GC 2-12.5, '72 Ral Int'l 2-13.0, Ral Pro V 2-14.5 '74 Pmount P13 3-0.5, '62 Peugeot PL10 531db 3-1.5

I guess it depends on interpretation what these results may indicate. There were a few revelations but results mostly agreed with subjective feel of frame and /or fork in-hand. To me, my early-70's Paramounts feel more like SL (stiffer) than 531 (springy)...but maybe that was intentional with racing in mind or the lifetime frame guarantee.
