Subject: [CR] Shimano Freewheel Tool - VAR

A little late to the conversation, but I've been kinda of busy lately and only review the CR list when I have the time. VAR #411 is VAR's remover for Shimano 3.3.3 freewheels. They are no longer made by VAR, of course, but I have a limited supply of them in stock. Those that want to have a really complete compliment of tools can purchase one for $11 shipped. 10 available.

Looking for other unusual bicycle tools? VAR probably made them at one time or another, and I still have some things that are no longer made by VAR (or anyone else). If you need something out of the ordinary it might be worth sending an email to inquire about availability.

I will also be making some other tools (by VAR and others) and interesting items available to the CR list, as I sort out things from the MPI inventory that I have in ample supply, but that don't generally sell to shops any longer (like the Swiss BB taps offered recently). Hopefully, I will have the next offering beginning in just a few days.

Thanks -

Wayne

Hi all and Happy New Year to everybody: I am extremely desperate and have been searching the world wide for months!! Ihave a need for a freewheel extractor tool that fits the shimano 3.3.3. Freewheel. It seems as though this was one of Shimano's bag of tricks back in the era where they make a freewheel core spline different than anyone else and then stop doing it after awhile. Of course, they were the only ones that manufactured the tool to extract it and now it seems next to be impossible to find. There are 12 spines and it seems as though the outside dimension measuring to the outside of the splines is about 20mm. I think the nickname of this tool was BOSS. I am going to start out the new year trying to hang on to what is dearest to me but everything short of trading in unwanted syblings and one of my arms and possibly a leg, I am willing to deal for it.....seeya
