Jerry,

FWIW it looks to be a '73 just like the one I bought in 1973. The frame and wheels look to be right there, as you've been told. The bike likely came with a black(ish) Sachs chain and Regina black freewheel (french threads...wheels too). As Dale pointed out, the Campy blue decal is out of era. BB should also be french thread and saddle was Brooks Pro. The rear der cable housing in the picture likely a replacement piece instead of the red stock.

The white block decals were on the Champion Du Monde, the top-of-the-line imported into the USA...the paneled frames with chrome on the stays and fork were down a notch on the bike which came with Stronglight parts, i.e. crank and headset, etc. That decal/sticker between the gear levers and the lower headset looks orig and great. The stem and bar looks to be 3T, but I can't really tell. Mine and the ones I sold had Cinelli.

Sorry for the delayed comment. I don't get to the list daily.

Thanks Lynn, do not have a long history with the bike. I got the bike as a fun roject, but a size or so small for me. The wheels were on it and atched the condition overall, so seemed to be original to this bike. I ould add more photos to present the touchups, and "patina" of the rame. It is a very cool ride, just too small for me. erry Tenenberg ncinitas, Cal -----Original Message----- rom: LTravers [mailto:lat7575@swbell.net] ent: Monday, December 21, 2009 5:38 AM o: Jerry Tenenberg c: Classicrendezvous@bikelist.org ubject: Re: Lejeune Wow. Very nice. I would lean towards 73 Champ du Monde or a little ater based mostly on the Mavic rims. The 72 catalog specs Super hampion and my 72 does have the SC rims. But who is to say the catalog pecs were always followed to the letter. The 72 catalog also shows lain block letter and my 72 has the markings on white panels. Would ou share your history with the bike? Looks near NOS. Lynn Travers azelwood, MO USA
