The thing we all have to remind ourselves when relying on catalogs to say what is the proper equipment for any given model and year is, "Specifications subject to change without notice."
I don't have access to a lot of pre-war catalogs, and have not actually collected any, but I looked at several catalogs a year for many years, and do not remember a single one that did not carry a disclaimer such as this.
