Subject: [CR] Re Campy shift lever tip

I wanted to spill this old school pro tick out keep in mind the pros went through several pairs of shift levers a season. How they keep the shift levers from slipping was the use of lapping compound on the metal pieces to add in more friction in the system. This trick would severly shorten the life of a shift lever set but for them they were a dime a dozen so it did not matter. This tip could be used today as long as you have in mind that replacement will be needed at some point. I would think that the casual or even daily rider could get quite a long use given the fact that they do not normally shift as much as a pro.
