Subject: [CR] For Sale Ephgrave built Rory O'Brien, Restored 1948 Carlton, c1975/6 Gios frames

Offered to CR members are three really rather nice frames - the Ephgrave built Rory O’Brien road frame with one careful lady owner from new (yes, really!), a c1975/6 Gios and well restore Carlton road frame from c1948.

I can take payment a number of ways - Paypal or cheque in GBP, cash sent registered post, Traveller’s cheques in $, direct bank transfer within the UK or European Iban bank transfer. I will always combine shipping in order to reduce costs.

All prices are in UK GBP Frames cost 80 GBP to ship to the USA, 100 GBP to ship to Australia/New Zealand and 11 GBP within the UK.

With the pound being still quite low in value these are a real bargain... for US and European buyers. Paypal is quoting 1.65$ to 1 GBP.

RORY O’BRIEN 1961 built by Les Ephgrave one owner Seat Tube (ctt) : 51cm (20in) Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in) Rear dropout width: 120mm Wheel size: 27s, Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 57mm) Bottom bracket threads: English Seatpost size: 27.2mm This frame has had one lady owner from new - she was the wife of one of the riders on Rory O’Brien’s race team - they all rode Ephgrave built ROBs and she went along to Ephgrave to get measured up and this frame was the result... Its in its original paint and has many of the Ephgrave details - in particular the seatstay bridge and fork crown. It has unfortunately had its Campag gear hanger cut off... 245 GBP

GIOS ROAD FRAME c1975/6 Seat Tube (ctc): 20.5in (52cm) Top Tube (ctc): 20.75in (52.5cm) Rear dropout width: 125mm Wheel size: Sprints/700C Seatpost size: 27.2mm Early Gios frames are really rather good - this one displays beautiful craftsmanship - just take a look at the wonderfully filed long point lugs. Bottom bracket shell is a Fischer. Rear dropouts are the 1st version of the Campy short dropouts introduced in 1975. The paint is sound though could do with new decals. The fork has been very nicely rechromed. 350 GBP ono
