We have word that the History Channel is airing a segment on the program "Modern Marvels" related to "the potato". Apparently about a year ago world renown bike painter and one of my best friends and colleges, Joe Bell, was filmed demonstrating a common framebuilder/painter recreational activity for the History Channel. Jason Lilly, who is also a bike industry person is featured as well. Too bad it's not on Canada's History Channel; the programming is a bit different. But I'll keep an eye open for future editions of "Modern Marvels", because I believe I've seen it before.

OTOH, I'm watching "Ice Pilots NWT", a series similar to Ice Road Truckers about a company called Buffalo Airways http://www.buffaloairways.com/ that operates vintage air transports out of Yellowknife, NWT. I haven't seen any bikes, but did DC3s have any 531 tubing in the airframe? I don't the show on the U.S. History Channel schedule for now.
