Thanks for your explanation.

I did not mean to criticize either the frame or your presentation. I was just seeking an explanation for the particular "patina" I saw in the BB photo.

It IS a gorgeous and very well cared for frame. Thanks for your stewardship.

I also apologize for perhaps mis-identifying it as "historic" in my last email--it apparently does not have a specifically "historic" provenance outside of its rarity and its condition, which is remarkable.
