I haven't seen as many Jack Taylors as some of the listmembers, but one detail on the bike that strikes an odd note for me is the rather inelegant seatstay cap treatment -- fairly crude looking, like on late-70s Raleigh Professionals.

Hmmmmm. . .

CR experts,

There is a bike listed on eBay as a probable Jack Taylor. It seems like a good bargain if it really is one, but I don't have the expertise to diagnose whether it is or not. I did spend a few minutes looking at pictures of Taylors on Joel's site, and think it might not be - there is no integral rear brake hanger, and I don't see the same lugset used on any contemporary Taylor touring bikes. What do you all think?

It's ebay item 320482286725. The link:

Okay, now I go back to lurking.
