I just purchased an 80's Benotto frame in nice condition. It has Columbus tubing, Benotto rear dropouts, braze on front derailleur hanger and shift levers, and a chrome fork with delicate looking fully sloping fork crown (Benotto engraved too). There is a small American flag decal that looks original on the back of the seat post at the top. What in the world is this supposed to signify? Made in the US? Champion of the US roads? HUh? All the other decals look very Benotto standard issue.
