yes, hi.campy's website shows a comparison of early dropouts and mentions the 4mm partially threaded adjuster screws with heavier spring.. it is hard to make out but he seems to date them circa 1950/51.. i think the next design with 3mm screw and early stamping was introduced around 1952 and made (i think) up until around 1957

interestingly, he notes they were not used with the knurled brass cap though they do appear slotted in the rear like later adjusters

When did Campagnolo switch to the lighter weight screws? My other 50's
bike, which by the collective reasoning of this group, has been dated to
1958-1962, Italian origin, has the lighter screws. (this frame is for
sale, it's big- around 60 CtC if I remember right, and is very
interesting, though I have no clue who made it, was thinking either
Frejus, or Piero Serrena - and was painted by Billy Rounds last year)
Anyway - What year did campy switch from size 4 to size 3 dropout adjuster screws?
