Subject: [CR] Campy Derailleur Cable Issue

This past summer, I made the error of purchasing a set of Campy's new stainless derailleur cables for use with NR derailleurs & down tube shifters. No matter how hard I tightened the bolt holding the cable to derailleur, the cable would slip. I presume this is because the stainless cable doesn't provide enough friction? Fortunately, I had 1 pair of NOS NR cables which worked fine. I'm now re-building another bike & unfortunately don't have another set of NOS cables. Does anyone know of an acceptable cable where the head will fit in a NR shifter & avoid the problem involving new stainless cables?
