A friend has recently bought two French bicycles, one of which he hasn't seen (his son has bought it in a junk shop in Carcassonne on his behalf) but which has transfers which appear to read "Lucer". Apparently, the bike has some high quality components, including Durax fluted cranks and LAM brakes, and appears to date from the 1940s or 50s.
He has also bought a 1950's Roold, of which I have no details.
Is anyone able to let me know, please:
1. Where each company was based?
2. What happened to these companies - were they bought out?
3. Any other available information.
4. Where he can obtain a 1950s headbadge and transfers for the Roold.
