Getting ready to part w/ my early 70's Gitane tandem; have not ridden it since my partner's demise 18 months ago and would like to see it go to a good home. Not a gas-pipe model- all '531', Campy drop outs, forged fork crown....Simplex bar-cons, Ti DuoPar derailleur, TA triple, Nitto bars & stoker stem, low-mileage wheels w/ Maxi-Car hubs (no drag brake) & Super Champion rims, Nitto bars & stoker stem, ATAX pilot stem, sorry, I replaced the MAFAC cantis w/ brakes that actually work (Suntour SE rear, Sun Tour XC Pro front), Honjo fluted fenders (w/ cool 'hood ornament' on the front fender), Pasela tires...size is 57.5cm pilot, 50cm stoker. -Price will depend somewhat on whether you want to supply your own saddles & pedals; figure on about $1,000 ready-to-ride.
