I got a parts lot for a few years ago and it came with a cyclotouriste crankset (competition 152 bcd adapter) and a bottom bracket (TA cups and Campagnolo spindle.) I assumed that this setup worked together but I haven't actually built it up. I can test it if there is interest because I also have procured a NOS 344 spindle from Hilary stone about a year ago for about $45 (there's a pricepoint for you.)

I frankly have flip-flopped in my opinions of vintage bottom brackets. While they certainly work well and imho last longer than cartridge ones, the cartridge ones are lighter cheaper easier to find and usually, newer (meaning, unworn) compared to vintage ones... And in most cases all you have to do is match the taper(s) and add 3 mm (to convert a vintage drive-side offset BB to a modern symmetric BB) to find the right cartridge bottom bracket.
