Bill Hackett asks "...I am restoring a Holdsworth, Roy Thame, Road Bike. The bottom Bracket is numbered 74913.... The Headset tube has Holdsworth decals. ... Is there anyway to find out the history of this Road Bike model? What type of equipment needs to be on it to keep the bike vintage?..."

Kilgariff's Holdsworth site (excerpt below) says Holdsworth-named bikes stopped between March and Sept 1975 and wore Roy Thame decals. Yours is a hybrid saying Roy Thame on the seat tube and/or down tube and saying Holdsworth on the head tube (?) Perhaps your frame is also from this timeperiod and you could build your frame up to spec of the Strada road model?

"Probably between Mar and Sep 1975, the shop stopped making Holdsworths, so the Strada, Italia, Pista, Cronometro, Cronometro Ultralight and Competizione models were no longer 'Holdsworth', they wore Roy Thame decals. "For the 1975 Harrogate show we introduced the Campionissimo range, these replace the Strada etc".
