Hi Lucas, I and most long time frame builders have been silver brazing stamped lugs for years. If you feel that there is to much gap, you can brass filet braze the inner wall of the lugs where the tubes meet and grind it back, this will make a tighter fit in the filet area, but this is not necessary. If the point areas of the lugs are loose, feed the silver into the tangs, once the solder is there squeeze them with a channel lock pliers, that will close the gap, but be careful not to put to much pressure, you can crimp the tube, so put enough pressure to close the gap and pull away the heat while squeezing the pliers, let it cool abit to set the braze.
