Subject: [CR] Randonneur cycle on French Ebay

I thought I would just out this quite attractive French randonneur bike with its 650 wheels for the sake of those Listers who are interested in such machines.

Unfortunately the auction had less than a minute to run as I found the page, and by the time I had actually studied all the photos available to see what the frame and equipment were, it was too late. But no doubt it will be relisted.

The bike is Item No 260555566303.

It is a fully rigged randonneur that has undergone some changes over its lifetime but the very interesting FREXOL cantilevers are very original. The frame uses short-point Prugnat..quite unusual for a French randonneur that looks as though it might even qualify as a constructeur model. I recall that the celebrated Parisien builder Louis Pittard often used short-point lugs..

I shall be travelling through Paris in a few weeks time and I might have a bid on this one next time around...perhaps.

Anyone out there got any ideas about this one?
