That would go well with Riks  Feama Flandria race vest that he gave me in Ostend in 62, Its got a few moth holes and its in a frame now. I used to use it when I was thin, but ut was a tight fit even then! Hey Ho, all our yesterdays again. Nice bike though, but E15000! I just bought a MG TC for that in Germany! And its a film star. My Colin L\aing is still for sale for those who remeber the add. Nostalgic Barrie Carter Roundham UK

Listers,

This might interest those with deep pockets, and/or that nice bonus from last year. On kapaza.be, a kind of Belgian Craigs list, this '62 Flandria is offered. It is supposedly the one that Rik van Looy ('the emperor of Herentals') used to win Paris-Roubaix that year. Authentication is supplied by a postcard, with a handwritten and signed note by Van Looy: 'with this velo I won Paris-Roubaix' (yes, why make it more complicated than that!).

Asking price is 15.000 euros, but with the dollar appreciating recently, that shouldn't be a problem ... :-)  The price can reduced the text says, if you're willing to leave the bike in the museum where it is now (in Roeselaere: http://www.wielermuseum.be/) for another 5 years. The minimum is 2500 euros.

The sellers telephone number is at the bottom of the text, so give him a ring ...
