John,

I was using these rims in the UK in the late '50s and early '60s. I remember both names. We always pronounced the Weinmann rims as "Shereen" and the others were "Sheeren Weltmeisters", both bamboo filled at the spoke holes. I understand that at some time the two companies merged.

Scheeren rims of their own brand have two E's
