The Mavic Monthlery has been around since at least 1973.  Eugene A. Sloane lists it in the 1973 Edition of "The New Complete Book of Bicycling".

monthlery route  and monthlery pro are both in the 90/91 mavic catalogue, as is the argent10.  They are all gone in 96

Both Monthlery's were available in 87, and an 84 bike part catalogue even lists a monthlery legere -- mvg
