Hello to all,

I am new here aswell as a newbe interested in vintage road bikes. It all started two years ago, at the age of 50. Several times I searched and found precious information on the classicrendezvous site. I have a small collection of bicycles that You may see here ( I hope the link works correctly):

As You can see, there is one two bicycle ( maybe the Emrin aswell, although it is two years too young ) that fit concerning the interest of this community.

My name is Jean-Marie Biwer, I live in Luxembourg, Europe. I am married for 30 years and father of two grown up children. I hope I am welcome here. I might have some difficulties writing in English, I'll do my best.

Yesterday, I brought home a bicycle in bad shape, with a lot of parts that are not period-correct. I will post pics to flickr aswell in a couple of days. The bicycle - as far as I can say - originally is a 70ties machine. The decals are almost unreadable, still one can see : "Champion" ( I suppose it is the label) and "record" - must be the model. No material decal ( Reynolds or any other steel tubing indication). I first thought it was a low-level machine, but a friend from Germany who knows quite a bit thinks the frame is a well-build one. So if anyone has any information about "Cycles Champion" ( it should be french, maybe belgian or even swiss ?) I would be very happy about that. I will take it apart during the next evenings, if I find out more, I will tell You aswell. Best regards, Jean-Marie
