Richard,

As Terry has noted, Phils have been used for many decades on Stronglight and TA cranks. In fact, I'm still using a Phil BB that I bought as a #3 (for Campi triple cranks and Stronglight 93 doubles) for use on my 1975 PX-10's SL 93s. (I still think of Phil BB spindle lengths in the original terms...) IMHO, they are a perfectly acceptable (on-topic) option on any CR-period bikes, as many of us equipped our "new" bikes and retrofitted many used bikes with them, especially in rainy/wet climes like Eugene, OR, where I was during my cycling "salad days" of 1969-80.

it's not hard to imagine my Phil Wood hubs and BBs outlasting me by 2-4x....

Jon Spangler who is curious about many things but not planning on building any bike frames myself at all (using either new or used lugs) in Alameda, CA USA
