Subject: [CR] Stronglight 93 Cranks--145 MM arms!

Here's an unusual item for your consideration. Suitable perhaps for a kid's classic bike, perhaps? Certainly a "one-of-a-kind" item....(No relation to seller, just intrigued that someone would go to this much trouble to modify a crankset...)

BMX MTN Road Bicycle Crankset - Stronglight 145mm

ebay item #120541749422 According to the seller, "You are bidding on a set of Stronglight 5 bolt Aluminum Bicycle Cranks. They are primarily a road bike crank with the capability of running a double chainring. They were orginially 170mm, but were cut down and professionally resized to 145mm. They fit a standard square bottom bracket. I used them many many years ago on my first road bike when I was much smaller. They operate perfectly, and fit a standard Shimano chainwheel. They weigh in at 12 oz (both arms) The arms are made in France and have the model stamped on the back; "Modele Depose" The cranks would work great for the smaller road biker, mountain biker, or small/mini BMX rider/racer. These are considered a final sale, with no returns accepted. They do function well, and can look as good as new with some polishing. (there are no cracks)"

Jon Spangler Intrigued but not buying or connected to this seller, and still in Alameda, CA USA
