Jack Walsh, a former pro track rider was offered $30k for a bike formerly owned (and imported) by Major Taylor when he raced here in Australia. He turned down that offer.

I had the chance to see it hanging in his old shop which has since closed. Jack is still alive but with health concerns. I wish I had a chance to take pics and details back then and unfortunately I don't know his family well enough to enquire about the bike now.

Jack wasn't so much God fearing as Taylor, bet he certainly put the fear of God in other riders. Quite a character. http://www.jub.com.au/champions/images/1947scotton1a.jpg
