A bit of wishful thinking at work here I think.

It is a team bike, probably 7-11 rather than Olympic.

Hardly any Serotta Murrays were actually used in 84, their sponsorship was purely a marketing thing since Raleigh/Huffy had the national team sponsorship. it was a big deal at the time, and was heading to court. The compromise was that Unsponsored riders would ride their own bikes or the Raleighs, Raleigh sponsored riders rode raleighs, and Murray sponsored riders rode Murrays. Except for team events where the Raleigh branded bikes were used.

Bikies,

A bike reputed to be one of the 3 or 4 known surviving bikes built by KOF builder Serotta for the 1984 Murray-sponsored US Olympic team is now FS on ebay: #250602117139.

Since it is so rare, so close to the 1983 cut-off date, and built by one of our list's heroes, I thought listers should know about it:

Not my listing, not bidding, no relationship with the seller, etc....
