Hilary Stone's offered the list a very nice Hetchins. Looking at the pix, what struck me is that it has very different detailing from my own "Italia Spyder" of about the same vintage. Mine has similar lugs, but reworked with little curliques, and some of the classic Hetchins "drool" or lacework affixed to the fork blades at the crown, and to the tops of the seat stays. On the whole, if it weren't the distinctiveness of my "Spyder," I'd say Hilary's is, shall we say, truer to the my vision of the Italian style than mine is. But, the mishmash is part of the charm I see in mine: I got the essence of Hetchins decoration in a contemporary frame.
