i think Bike Tools Etc does actually have the tool in stock in their online catalog, although the listing is a bit weird and won't link to an info page from the search results
it is # VR-PE35200 and it's $70 (!!)
they also list the replacement spanner jaw, which is cool (although it's out of stock):

Can anyone tell me who sells VAR tools? Is there a current VAR catalogue on line somewhere? Unfortunately, I found only vintage on line.
