Hello fellows,

I'm posting this beautiful little number up for local framebuilder (and friend) Mike Terraferma.

The one-of-a-kind Limited was built in 2009, and is constructed with True Temper OX Platinum tubing. Components are mint, NOS Suntour Superbe Pro components w/very lightly used Mavic MA-40 clincher rims.

This frameset is absolutely pristine, and features paint by Gary Cole, lugs custom-cut from Hayden blanks by the late Les Ephgrave (the lugs are his Mod. #1 pattern), Henry James stainless steel dropouts, and a stainless Richard Sachs Newvex fork crown. This frameset was ridden and reviewed by Jan Heine in the Volume 5, No. 4 edition of Vintage Bicycle Quarterly. Since then, it has been ridden for less then 500ft, only to check preliminary brake and shifter adjustments of the new build.

The Limited was lovingly built up from the bare frameset earlier this year with completely NOS Suntour Superbe Pro components. All of the original Suntour boxes and documentation are included (with exception to the pedals, seatpost, and RD, which came in bags). As the Limited is built with downtube cable adjusters, Dia-Compe Silver bar-end shifters from Velo-Orange were fitted in place of the Superbe Pro levers; the NOS Suntour shifters will be included. I did the entire build-up for Mike.//

Bar and stem are 3TTT. The stem is NOS, and the bar is lightly used, with only a few, barely noticeable wear marks. The bars are wrapped with brand-new, black, Origin-8 bar tape. Cable housing is Velo-Orange's teflon-lined variety - with a color-matched, red outer housing - with stainless cables.

Rims are extremely lightly-used Mavic MA-40's with stainless spokes, laced to mint Suntour Superbe hubs spaced to 126mm, with a Suntour 13-21, 7-speed Winner freewheel. Tires are skinwall Deda TRE Giro D'Italia 700x23C's, again, ridden less then 500ft for purposes of a test ride only. Saddle is a new Selle San Marco Regal with copper rails.

Mike had built this frameset to be a one-off, personal show bike, but has since decided to part with it for financial reasons. If you are interested in it, feel free to contact me at the address above, or Mike at cycler@bellsouth.net or (305) 444-7062.

Price is $5,000 OBO.

Frame specs are as follows:

Seat tube (ctc): 58cm Top tube (ctc): 57.5mm Seattube: 72 degrees Headtube: 73 degrees Chainstays: 425mm BB drop: 77mm Fork rake: 43mm Stem lenth: 120mm
