Subject: [CR] Anyone heard of Campione bikes?

Just bought one off ebay, mostly because I want the Sugino single crankset for my fixie, but I just picked it up and I'm curious (and Googling hasn't revealed a lot..from what I can see, there were companies by that name in Canada and Australia, but I can't find much on either). It bears a sticker saying it was sold by Briton Racing Bikes, but that's a bit of a dead end too.

The bike itself is a bit of a curate's egg. It's lighter than I was expecting (tho' not super-light by any means...I'd guess at 531-ish, tho' there are no decals to say what tubeset it is). It has the aforementioned Sugino crankset, an SR stem and quite nice old-style drops, a Tange Seiki Levin headset and Bayless-Wiley BB. Quite nice lugwork too, tho' some of the paintwork is a bit crude.

It's all looking a bit sorry for itself, but I have a feeling it might respond quite well to a bit of TLC. I'd be interested if anyone knows anything abou it/them.
