Subject: [CR] Restricting CR list sales to members?

This is why I think maybe this selling of stuff here ought to be by members only. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dale, I respectfully disagree. Many of us are considered experts by a pretty wide circle of friends and acquaintances. Sometimes, we hear about the "barn finds" that belong to people who just don't have interest in the hobby, but do want these old critters to reach the right set of collectors. They don't know what stuff is "worth," and they don't even want to learn about the stuff, much less the rules of our community.

There are a couple of times I'm passed along such items to the list, as a favor to both sides. I was in a better position to answer questions, they avoided hassle, and list members found something at a fair price, w/o eBay. Most recently, it was an early American Masi, with what we think were its original tires.

I don't think we've seen much abuse of this, and I'd sure rather help out this way than see a constant stream of people who get frustrated by our clan. But, you may see more abuses than I do.

thanks, Leader & Host!
