Subject: [CR] Phil Wood's servers down--they are working on it (WAS: Re: Modifying BB Cups to Fit Phil Wood BB's?

Listers,

Jon Crate informed me that the web and email links I posted did not work, After I encountered the same problems with web access AND my emails to PW bounced last night, I called PW this morning.

PW just upgraded to a faster server with their ISP, but the ISP's upgrade cut off all the info and responses to/from the old one. Phil Wood is definitely still there and their ISP is working on fixing the problem ASAP. (I'd guess that in 1-3 days it will be fixed... :-)

Their hubs, BBs, and other products are certainly more reliable than their new server... :-)

I hope this digital and current (thus OT?) news about an on-topic manufacturer will be an acceptable posting given the circumstances.

Yours for passing on valuable info,

Jon Spangler in Alameda, CA USA
