For sale today at Chez Charles et Carmen this very nice Alberto Masi Gran Criterium from the mid-1970s.

58cm center-to-very-top-of-the-seat-lug. A bit over 56cm c-c top tube. Spaced at 126mm. Stamped *UU58* on the bottom-bracket shell. A likely re-paint code from the Vigorelli shop on one of the bb shell tangs, *32*. Also noted, a small *L* stamped on the bb-tang above the size stamp.

This frame acquired in about 1980 from a shop in Provence, France. Frame was repainted in the shop's team colors, with the shop badges as shown in the pictures at the link below. It could easily be restored to your taste, or leave as-is, it's kinda neat just the way it is. Includes frame/fork/Super Record headset in good shape/seat-post binder-bolt/trick flush dropout-adjusters, typical Alberto touch.

I can't tell if these are pressed or cast lugs, but if they're cast, they've been very nicely finished off. The frame shows some features of the later Prestige (the beveled stay ends, mainly), but from other details it presents as a GC and it was represented as such to me.

Frame has a tiny bit of debris in the top-tube, might be a bit of loose corrosion, but nothing serious..most frames of this age have this to some degree, a bit of frame-saver will take care of it.

A nice Alberto GC at a fair price: $695 shipped in CONUS. Locals who pick-up pay $625!

E-mail me to purchase. bank-check or money-order preferred, paypal ok, but I request you pay in the *gift* mode so I avoid charges.

Thanks,
