Hi John, If the bike uses a post CPSC front derailleur with the lip at the front of

the cage, then you will need a post CPSC spindle length, 114.5mm I believe, traditionally marked 68-SS.

I have just such a titanium Campy spindle that has had the races ground off, along with sealed bearings installed in generic, English threaded, adjustable aluminum cups. It works like an OMAS Big Sliding, being adjustable left to right to accommodate for chain line variance. Very trick and light, but not original, if that is what you need. When used in a centered position and depending upon the specific bike it goes into, with the current position of the bearings, there may be a tiny amount of cup threads revealed once fully installed with lock rings on each side, but this can be easily corrected I'm told, by having a machine shop order slightly narrower bearings ... or in my opinion, by simply having same machine shop remove a tiny amount of the race curvature in each cup, allowing the current bearings to seat just a tad further out, thus bringing the cups in when the bearings seat against the spindle shoulders. This would no doubt reduce adjustability though.

The unit is currently sitting with Robert Broderick in Oregon, but he can send it quickly enough to you on my behalf, if you are interested in it for $100 shipped. This is a lot cheaper than a "correct" Campy TI b.b., but it isn't all original. I can dig out pics, if you want to see them.

I am looking for a Campagnolo Super Record Bottom Bracket (English thread) with a Titanium (spindle) for a '78 Austro Daimler Ultima. Can someone tell me what the correct length spindle I should be looking for?

Or if anyone has the correct bottom bracket they want to sell, I would be

interested.

Thanks,
