a sloppy fit is fine for the dustcaps, but the puller should fit precise, it could be just some dirt and that the puller doesn't offer much grip for your fingers. TA pullers (23 x 1) or standard pullers (22 x1) have a smaller diameter than original stronglight 23.35 x 1. And didn't have the last 49D's normal puller threads?
