The drillium was a little much, but fun to do. Made a quick template from a piece of sheet metal and drilled away. This probably won't help the already nasty flex the arms already suffer. But if they do snap, they'll look good doing it!
Next steps are to plate the other steel bits with brass, get a new set of springs, steal a set of brass bushing from a ragged pair of dural forge I have and lastly, decide on which brake pads/holders to go with. Classic MAFAC? Or something more modern with some easier toe in adjustment.
