"I dug up the grand bois page. The weinmann reproductions are the real deal, they look genuine in almost every respect, EXCEPT for the material which is more transluscent than original weinmann hoods, which are more brown.

These hoods look like the real thing. I just ordered a set.
I have 2 classic all original wall hangers that have Weinmann levers and I want to keep them looking correct. Otherwise, the new Cane Creek hoods are very well made and look very nice. They would be great for a rider (my vanity streak come out).
