I thought I would chime in on the Cinelli serial number topic. My bike is consistent with Johans descritption of his but has the flying''C" engraved on the fork crown (cast in?) in fact they probably were in the shop at the same time as my serial number is 83216 ,it is Pearl White. They parted ways at that point as my Cinelli was purchased new in Kowloon,HK (Hong Kong) in 1984.Anyone have any info on that source? On topic bike shops in HK must be unique. I will agree with Mike Schmidt in that it is a great rider and was my primary bike for quite a while. It replaced a stolen SC ex Cupertino bike shop bike I had for many years (I recall it being out the door at $207 with spare sewup and TA front rack.) Since it sports DA7400 I do not mention it on this Forum very often

BOB FREITAS looks to be a beautiful day in MILL VALLEY,CA USA
