Kurt, Ken...... I have a rear Campag hub which puzzled me, so I sent a pic of the hub to Campagnolo in Italy and had a nice email back saying it was a 'Gran Sport' from around 1975.

The hub is a 40 hole small flange [though I have seen a large flange version on ebay] in anodised alloy, but the unusual feature is the bearings on the offside are........ as on a 'Piste' hub in that they are inboard of the flange. I have the hub mated to a small flange 36 hole 'Nuovo Tipo' front, with straight Tipo skewers.

Someone here on the list has pics of the same type of hubs.......but in chromed steel!......not a 3-piece, but all one piece.

Pics of my hub can be seen on my flickrsite http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin_sayles_bikes/ look under 'hubs'
