For Sale: Antique Ashtabula wheel truing stand
I am not sure of the exact vintage, I am guessing 1940's-1950's. I know this stand was being used in a local bike shop in the 50's and 60's.
Technologically crude by today's standards, none-the-less I have built many a sturdy and reliable wheel using this tool over the years. Retired from service when I replaced it with a Park TS-2 sometime back in the 90's.
Stand is well used and well worn, overall condition is good. It is very HEAVY, looks/feels like it is made of cast iron.
