Subject: [CR] WTB: Chain to match Sachs freewheels

I got some 6 and 7 speed Sachs freewheels to use on my '82 ALAN Super Record, but the mediocre taiwanese chain that I got the bike with doesn't quite mesh correctly -- it skates over the teeth easily when shifting into the larger cogs. There's no chain or cog wear to speak of, and the chain meshes perfectly with the Dura-Ace 7400 freewheel that came with the bike.

I'm looking to buy an appropriate chain, and would love to buy one in good condition from a list member (NOS is unnecessary, this is a rider). A chain made in France with a shiny silver finish is strongly preferred.

I've heard that the Sedis chains are perfect for this application and they're period appropriate.

I'd also heard that the Sachs PC-68 chain was identical and made in the same French factories.

Anyone have advice and/or a chain to sell me?
