Subject: [CR] Mystery VAR Tool

I confess to never having seen a VAR catalogue before now. Shame at my ignorance is utterly swallowed up in amazement over the variety and ingenuity of these fabulous tools. The catalogue is organized by the function of the tool and indexed alphabetically in French by subject. There is no index by tool number, and the page numbers didn't survive the scanning process, so it isn't easy to search by tool number. The spoke trimmer (VAR #17) is found on page 36:

It looks like some of the tools may have been made for VAR by others, and some, like Vise-Grips, were just being distributed by VAR for the convenience of their customers.

In pre-1983 terms: Wow man, it blows my mind!

I have a spoke trimmer and it's VAR #17. If you click all sizes in Flickr, you can see that this is VAR #16. Different tips than I'm used to seeing though.
