Michael,

The chrome plated steel Simplex double cable guide model 3606-L would be the correct Simplex guide for a front derailleur without a cable housing stop. This clip was intended for running only a bare derailleur cable around the seat tube.

However, a Campagnolo double cable guide is probably more nicely finished and would work just as efficiently. Because they were manufactured for MANY years, they seem to be more commonly found and less costly than the Simplex model.

Here is a Campagnolo clip which I mounted on one of my French bikes... although the front and rear derailleurs I use on the bike are NOT Campagnolo.
