Hi guys,

The reply from "Peter Brueggeman" <4peebee[at]peterbrueggeman.com> in email " Classicrendezvous Digest, Vol 89, Issue 70 - message 4" -looks like a winner.

"It is distinctively similar to an Excel.... See http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/excel2collierswood.html Scroll down..."

I do believe Peter is correct in his observation that it's a Dan Genner cycle - possibly an Excel. The lugs in the above link are exactly the same lugs, (also the picture bike has no head badge), the articles comment also mention about the very thin seat stays and the way the seat stay tapers and angles across the seat lug is identical to the catalogue page.

For reference my pictures are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jekyll700sx/

Thank you all for your input, I couldn't be happier.

I'm now keen to find out more about Dan Genner Cycles but the net has limited information - can you suggest another research source.
